Job Description

Job Duties

  • Daily tasks entail monitoring and managing IDT’s wholesale and retail products and to build Special Routing Strings as per customer requirements.
  • To investigate quality alerts and take appropriate actions as outlined by the QMT playbooks or as defined by additional QMT procedures.
  • To proactively build divisional route strings to ensure that they can provide the level of quality (and capacity) determined by the Commercial Teams.
  • To assist the Global Fault Desk and in resolving customer complaints.
  • To work with the Market Maker team to minimise losses and maximise GP by locating cheaper alternative carriers.
  • To work with the buy team in order to improve GP and to work with the sales team to provide the required quality levels to maximise GP and increase traffic volumes.
  • To develop a proactive, authoritative and responsible approach with regards to quality related decision making.
  • To work with the pricing team in order to provide customers with the most advantageous pricing to win traffic and build GP.
  • Use applications and testing systems provided to highlight signalling, quality issues and capacity issues which affect our decision making. 
  • To work closely with IDT Accounts Managers in order to understand destination constraints and issues.
  • To analyse and run a number of Cost/Routing Reports and taking necessary action in order to improve cost/quality within parameters set by the retail and wholesale pricing team
  • Working with the Retail teams to understand the quality levels required for existing / new cards and using this information to try and provide the levels of quality needed.
  • Working closely with Regional offices to help achieve their commercial/operational objectives
  • Developing new ideas to create new reports and programs to help different departments within the company to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • To work as a part of a global team which provides coverage around the clock.
  • Taking on projects as required.

 Requirements

  • Degree holder in Telecommunications preferable
  • 1 year or above experience in telecommunications preferable
  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be confident, team player and display excellent communication skills 
  • Able to work under pressure, pleasant personality with good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • Sound Knowledge on MS software especially MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Have the ability to work on your own with minimal direction.
  • Have the ability to work as a Global team.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills in order to make the right decisions.
  • Immediate availability is preferable
