An R&D project aimed at creating toy humanoid robots requires a software developer, initially on a temporary basis.   The work mainly involves integrating various open source robotics software tools, using the Linux operating system and the ROS (Robot Operating System) framework, in the context of a small humanoid robot constructed by making numerous custom modifications to a RoboSapien toy robot.  

This position is initially structured as a temporary 4 month contract.  There are possibilities for continuation beyond the initial 4 month period but these are uncertain at present.

The main requirement for the position is some experience with C++ and Linux.   Robotics or computer vision experience would be handy but is not needed;we have an experienced roboticist on the team already.

This is a chance for a young software developer to participate in a cutting-edge R&D effort with an international team including some world-famous scientists and roboticists.
