PRIMARY FUNCTION/POSITION SUMMARY:

Based in Hong Kong, the Web Producer is responsible for the content and development of Christies.com/Chinese. This individual will oversee the creative and interactive execution of related online initiatives and projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Duties include but are not limited to the following):

• Work in close cooperation with Christie’s Global and Hong Kong Marketing and Specialist teams as well as the New York-based Digital Media Group to Plan and execute Digital Media-driven projects and promotions.
• Responsible for the design, maintenance, and enhancement of Christie’s Chinese website in both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders to deliver online content including: department descriptions, specialist profiles, original local content and other features while managing strategic design standards.
• Oversee the execution of interactive and creative visions as they pertain to programs and projects, while devising and implementing high quality customer experiences for online applications.  
• Perform routine site testing to ensure all data is accurate while maintaining a high quality user experience and providing technical support as required.
• Develop timelines and priorities for website enhancement and project manage to ensure deadlines are met.
• Guide and ensure consistency throughout the site by maintaining corporate brand and quality standards, monitoring internal/external resources, and serving as inspiration to the direction of the unit.
• Coordinate with different local and international stakeholders to ensure customer experience requirements are identified and documented.
• Enhance awareness of the site, both internally and externally.

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• 3-4 years of web production experience, with expertise in HTML/CSS
• Spoken/Written fluency in both Traditional and Simplified Chinese and English
• A strong command of Web standards, cross-browser compatibility, operating systems, and various Web-related optimization techniques
• Experience using ASP.net Enterprise Content Management platforms such as Sitecore
• Proficiency in Photoshop and experience carrying PSDs to full production
• Proficiency using JavaScript, specifically JQuery libraries
• Familiarity with Flash and ActionScript and server-side programming (specifically ASP)
• Experience with Analytic platforms such as Adobe SiteCatalyst
• Experience using blog platforms such as WordPress, etc.
• Familiarity with internet practices in mainland China
• Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical people
• Knowledge of social media a plus
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy environment
• Superior listening skills to effectively ascertain user requirements
• Has a good sense for design and user experiences with great attention to detail
• A positive attitude and good work ethic
