Job Description

The successful applicant will report to the Head of Finance with the responsibilities to: 

  • Oversee and lead the team to manage the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the Group and ensure timely and accurate month-end closing, ready for hands-on process if necessary.
  • Manage monthly consolidated management accounts and group reporting, and any other statutory reports required by various regulated bodies.
  • Provide management information and analysis for management review and periodic board meetings.
  • Manage client money daily operations and cash flow.
  • Monitor annual budget and forecasting preparation activities, business activities performance monitoring.
  • Ensure annual tax returns are filed properly for all entities and offices in the Group and timely settlement of tax liability.
  • Manage annual audit and liaise with external professionals, i.e. auditors, tax advisors and bankers.
  • Review and monitor payroll preparation for all offices.
  • Review internal processes and controls and recommend changes where necessary to ensure compliances especially FCA’s Client Money rules.
  • Manage other ad hoc projects or assignments required, including M&A projects, system review, policy and procedures drafting. 

The job will require the individual to possess:  

  • Bachelor degree in accounting / finance or related discipline and a Professional Accounting Qualification.
  • Big 4 training and at least 8-10 yearsexperience in MNC environment is a must; experience in insurance industry will be an advantage.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Cantonese, Putonghua a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, strong knowledge of handling effectively with volume transactions.
  • Knowledge in SUN System application will be advantageous.
  • Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines, hardworking and strong sense of commitment and responsibility.
  • Self-initiative, proactive, attentive to details, analytical, and a good team player.
