Purpose of position

• IT Systems support for all professional services platform and related services offered by BSI such as Action Manager, Entropy, SCM, SCREEN, BSOL
• Client interface through help desk support, regular meetings
• Sales process support to provide technical knowledge support, SE support
• Advance support to APAC countries for the setup and customer on-premise server installation of large customers on the diverse platform
• Support the Head of Professional Services Platforms, APAC in relation to IT support strategy with other regional hubs in America’s, Europe, Africa and Middle East

Key responsibilities & accountabilities 

• Client system installation including application and database.  For large customers, there will be on-premise server setups required
• Server installations, OS updates and patching environment and software installations
• Server monitoring and optimization
• Firewall configuration and optimization
• IT helpdesk interface (customer support) Level 1/2/3 as needed, including internal reporting and closure directly with customers
• Implement and monitor internal controls relating to client IT specific requests
• Take necessary corrective & preventative action to improve execution & client service

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree holder in IT or IT related disciplines
• At least four years’ experience in an IT environment including server management and web applications
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher working experience is required
• Microsoft Servers (Windows server 2008 & 2012) knowledge is required
• Working experience with AWS and other TIER 1 hosting providers is highly desirable, e.g. creating new Windows servers on AWS servers, maintaining AWS servers, creating snapshots and being able to recover from snapshots, etc.
• Experience working with the following: IIS7 and above, ASP, ASP.NET, Microsoft Reporting Services, SMTP, windows authentication or LDAP or federated authentication is a plus
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and spoken English
• Flexible approach to working hours and travel
• Self-motivated and result oriented
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Professional, keen, honest and enthusiastic personality
• A good team player
• Strong social and good communicative skills in interaction with customers
