Job Summary:

Performs clerical accounting duties involving routine calculations. Liaising with customers to ensure prompt payment of company debtors.

Ensures that all tasks performed comply with Insight’s Policies and Procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Contact all customers with overdue balances each month.
2. Insure all customers receive statements & Dunning letters in the first week of the month.
3. Runs various receivables reports, e.g. DSOs, customer ageing, ABTs, customer analysis reports etc for analysis by Supervisor
4. Creates spreadsheets for reconciliation and analysis purposes.
5. Corresponds with internal departments to resolve customer-billing issues.
6. Reconciles invoices and receipts.
7. Liaise with customer contacts to extract payment within appropriate guidelines
8. Analyse and determine appropriate measures for delinquent accounts
9. Manages credit techniques on outstanding accounts
10. Process credits + rebills and ensures accuracy and authenticity of credit.
11. Refers uncollectible items to supervisor.
    
    

Delegation:

In the absence of the Credit Clerk, the Credit Controller will assume responsibility for all tasks.
