Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supply chain management, including supplier sourcing, cost and proto price negotiations, handling quotations and samples
• Follow up closely on proto tracking and shipment to Germany
• Act as the bridge between internal European buyers & production team and factories & suppliers and fabric mills in China, Bangladesh and other emerging markets
• Build up and maintain good relationship with key suppliers to deliver improved supply chain efficiently including greater flexibility, shorter lead times, re-engineering and margin improvements
• Responsible for calculating price breakdown, price control, proto price negotiation with suppliers
• Liaison with internal European buyers to understand their market trends in order to source for different garment products and fabric for Headquarter (HQ) in Germany
• Keep internal European buyers and designers updated about market information by undertaking active Research & Development with market trend, new styles and collections, maintain close communication with suppliers, frequent visits to suppliers' showroom & keep track of any innovations from the suppliers
• Identity potential quality and quantity issues before submitting fabric to HQ & check and approve proto and designer samples before sending to HQ

Requirements:

• College or University graduates, preferably in textile & clothing related disciplines
• Minimum 6-10 years’ relevant experience in either one of the product groups below is a MUST:
• Outdoor items such as: Woven Jacket, Padded Jacket, Leather Jacket, Wool Mix Jacket items, etc. OR
• Woven items such as: shirts, blouses, cargo pants, denim bottoms, etc.
• Strong fashion sense and creative mindset is a must
• Good communication skill, initiative, well-organized and attentive to details with high sense of responsibility
• Energetic and able to work independently
• Ability to resolve sample development and production problems
• Experience in order follow up ranged from sample development to bulk production
• Experience working with European markets and have off-shore exposure especially in China, Bangladesh and other Far East countries
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook Express
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Occasional travel to China and other Asian countries is required
