UNStudio is currently looking for an Accountant to join our Shanghai office.

Main purpose of the job

The main purpose of the job is to be responsible for the production of the organization’s statutory and management accounts and to advise the Management on the financial position of the organization by producing regular and specific reports.

Key Accountabilities:

•  Handle full set of accounts independently and accurately
•  Accountable for day-to-day operations including payment and cost allocation, voucher preparation, bank reconciliation
•  Ensure that financial information is appropriately and accurately reported to the Shanghai and Amsterdam office and recorded and that financial transactions are processed in a timely fashion
•  Assist the Management team with the production of the budget and forecast
•  Produce expenditure reports and regular detailed consolidated management accounts, including financial forecasts and financial narrative to assist the management team
•  Develop and implement core financial controls and systems
•  Produce core and program income reports
•  Provide analysis and advice on the organization’s financial position and taxation 
•  Control the balance sheet, including regional office bank accounts and provide cash flow forecasts
•  Monitor income and manage debtors, reporting to the Management on any overdue debts
•  Produce the end of year accounts and work with the auditors to produce final accounts
•  Produce the accounting reports and internal financial reports timely, accurately on monthly basis
•  Play the financial controller role responsible for project finance control, overview reports, cost analyze, payments trace, etc.
•  Manage and maintain the internal hour booking system; monitor and analyze the booking hours
•  Coordinate with the external parties including: auditor, tax office, bank and related authorities

Qualifications: 

•  University graduate in Accountancy or Finance
•  4+ years of substantial general accounts experience and preparing financial reports in multinational companies
•  Significant experience of producing statutory and management accounts, financial statement and cash flow forecasts
•  Extensive experience of using computerized accounts packages
•  Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially in Microsoft Excel and familiar with formula), bookkeeping program like Kingdee, etc.
•  Excellent knowledge of financial management systems, controls and procedures
•  Good oral and written communication skills (English and Mandarin), including ability to communicate financial information to non-financial staff
•  Knowledge of foreign currencies and/or working in an international environment
•  Ability to establish and implement financial controls and systems
•  Able to meet tight deadlines, self-motivation and work under pressure and good problem solving skills
•  High level of ethics and attention to details
•  Trustworthy, strong sense of confidentiality and team work spirit
•  With knowledge and experience of HK finance GAAP and relevant finance and tax regulations is preferable
