Job Description

Our Client a leading Relocation Services Provider based in Shanghai is seeking to employ an experienced 'Supplier Manager'

This role will focus on:

Partnering with the VP – Global Supply Chain, Director – Global Supply Chain and the Supply Chain team to achieve their stated quality, performance, financial, and process objectives.
 
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
 
1) 50% Managing the vendor network and the collection, analysis and reporting on vendor/Market data as needed by Operations, Sales, and clients:

  •  Identify and monitor vendors globally. To include vendors in the following categories:
  • Apple-specific suppliers in Asia, specifically in China
  • Collect and analyse vendor and market data to evaluate performance and quality on an international market basis for internal and external purposes.
  • Develops new evaluation techniques or follows established modeling and evaluation processes to determine the effectiveness of current operational and financial activities in order to determine strengths and weakness of vendors, to drive departmental revenue, and develop/implement Corrective Action Plans when needed.
  • Monitoring competitors, and research market conditions, economic changes or changes in the industry that may affect vendor performance, operational efficiency, and revenue
  • Act as primary contact for the client, to provide quality and performance analyses and reports for client specific needs
  • Coordinates pricing from vendors and co-ordinates the collection of pricing for RFPs and the sales team in general, participate in new client implementations, new product development and supplier training.
  • Collects and monitors revenue from ancillary providers; develops new revenue modelling as needed
  • Implement standard processes to meet client-directed service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Performance manage suppliers against client-directed SLAs
  • Meet regularly with and provide reporting to corporate client and serve as knowledge base for internal staff

 
2) 50% Support Global Supplier Management team on Special Projects and Client specific requirements:

  • Manages supplier contracts in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) system;
  • maintains all contract-related data in SRM tool
  • Administrative lead for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) system to ensure all supplier data is updated and maintained
  • Administrative support to Director, Global Supply Chain and Project Manager as needed
  • Provide support for prospective and current client RFP and pricing requests. Provide administrative completion based on strategic leadership of Director and/or Project Manager. Coordinate any needed ad hoc pricing from supply chain team.
  • Provide support for supplier performance reporting, supplier quality reporting, supplier score card support, quarterly client dashboards, spend/volume analysis, client and prospective client RFP pricing, supplier contracts and/or sourcing processes or other support needs as needed.
  • Coordinate with Supplier Management team to conduct market research on market data/trends and provide interpretation and organization of data into report format with graphical illustrations of findings to advise Clients, EE’s, and Internal Clients on implications
  • Involved in supplier training including, but not limited to Company U Supplier Summit

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 2-5 years experience in vendor management preferably in a global relocation business or similar industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Graduate degree preferred
  • Speaks fluent English and Mandarin, reads/writes Chinese and English characters
  • Purchasing/Procurement experience a plus
  • Contract management and/or pricing analysis experience a plus
  • Highly motivated, organized, and ability to multitask
  • Must be able to make good business decision and stand behind those decisions
  • Strategic thinker and detail oriented
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a global virtual team
