As a result of our expansion in Asia, we have immediate opening positions in our Asia Pacific Advanced Technical Center (APATC) based in Hong Kong. 

Responsibilities:

• Work with Technical Managers and a team of application engineers, technical service engineers and lab technicians to perform R&D lab work to develop new products of specialty additives for electronic applications.
• Conduct experiments on chemical formulation, material testing, characterization and process optimization, mostly in the area of R&D and formulation work on specialty chemicals and materials.
• Work with test labs to conduct competitive analysis and benchmark work.
• Support customer field trials of new chemical processes. Assist with pilot scale-up test, sample analysis, material characterization and failure analysis.
• Full-time 5-day work schedule based in Hong Kong. Occasional overseas travel may be required.

Requirements:

• University degree or diploma in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering, Material Science.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience.  
• Hands-on experience in chemical operations and relevant industrial experience will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of electronic packaging industry (eg. PCB, connector, lead frame).
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good language skills, including English (written & spoken) and Chinese (Mandarin).
• Able and willing to work under pressure and meet tight project timelines.
• A self-starter, who is independent and motivated. Honest and down-to-earth.
• Candidates with less experience would be considered for the post of Lab Technician
