    A newly formed strategic marketing consultancy set-up to serve a major global online services company. The team of 12 will focus on China market strategy for their key client and will serve as an 'intelligence' function for the SEA HQ. Developing performance based ecommerce marketing tool-kits which will be executed by the regional hub.

    The role:

    Senior China Country Manager/China online markets:


    • Drive the development and execution of digital online marketing programs and partnerships for China mainland
    • Serve as the primary champion for China mainland B2C online business who ‘knows more, cares more and does more’ than anyone else to ensure that key results are produced from this critical market
    • Works closely and cooperatively with China mainland online marketing teams to achieve significant and sustained success against a market scenario with multiple and complex challenges
    • Help to build China online marketing entry strategies and plans


    Necessary Experience:


    • Recent verifiable and successful work with China mainland B2C digital online marketing/e-commerce, preferably large scale and with well-known brands
    • Leadership of the development of winning programs and partnerships to acquire, convert and retain B2C China mainland online customers
    • Recent work with consumer brand/product/program development and management for mainland China that includes leverage of online channels
    Essential Qualifications
    • Extensive knowledge of the general Chinese consumer culture and the specific dynamics of the China mainland B2C digital online channel (what works, what does not and why)
    • Complete grasp of all key e-commerce fundamentals (and how they all work together)...from user experience to payment solutions and everything in between
    • Sound understanding of the mobile/tablet online channel and how it interplays with traditional desktop websites
    • Relentless focus on achieving KPI’s

    • Demonstrated ability to think commercially, then convert ideas into actionable plans that produce significant results against challenging market scenarios
    • Demonstrated ability to partner and negotiate with 3rd parties, in often challenging scenarios
    • Mature, determined and flexible professional with strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to effectively influence a variety of stakeholders and internal suppliers
    • Passion for digital online marketing and producing results in a fast-moving small team environment
    • Willingness to travel and work remotely, self-directed


    Language Requirements:


    • Fully fluent in Mandarin (spoken) and Simplified Chinese (written)
    • Strong professional-level English (spoken and written) with good understanding of common industry jargon and idioms
