Job Description

We require an experienced Account Manager to be responsible for managing clients, projects, strategy development and campaign management across multiple accounts, acting as the main point of contact for clients through the project lifecycle and communicating design briefs effectively to design/development/editorial teams.

 

You will communicate and trouble shoot at all levels and liaise with clients advising them on their social media strategy including the brand, messaging, content and technical/digital solutions required in delivering that strategy to ensure a holistic approach.

 

The successful candidate is likely to possess a demonstrable 3 - 4 year account handling track record in a similar digital role or account servicing role; ideally having had previous exposure to major Fortune 100 brands.

 

Based out of Hong Kong, you’ll primarily focus on the Hong Kong / China based clients.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

Digital

  • Social media campaign management
  • Management of community managers
  • Content marketing, strategy and publishing
  • Digital training
  • Development of tone and style guidelines, social media policy
  • Development of digital analytics reports
  • Set-up of social media profiles and other digital assets (websites, videos, apps)
  • Creation and management of content calendars

 

Account management

  • Building and maintaining excellent client relationships
  • Project management through the project lifecycle
  • Manage client expectations and needs
  • Project scope, requirements and cost proposals
  • Briefing and managing creative and development teams
  • Attending client meetings at a junior through to Director level
  • Seeking opportunities and generating ideas for clients and advising them accordingly
  • Accurate and timely financial management of projects including invoicing
  • Understanding and communicating client marketing direction and objectives
  • Comprehensively research and analyze competitor activity
  • Keep up to date with the latest industry developments
  • Help client produce best-in-class work

 

Candidate profile

 You will have solid digital, social media and account management skills and experience of working with clients from multiple sectors from a business benefit perspective. You will be well versed in delivering often-complex digital solutions and through your experience will be able to talk knowledgeably about the approach without relying on others.

 

This is very much a hands-on role and although you will have input from Account Director you will be responsible for managing your clients and their projects independently, successfully and profitably.

You will be a self-starter with a positive, ʻcan doʼ attitude with great problem-solving skill. You will be level headed, dependable and calm under pressure. You will be capable of winning the respect and trust of client side marketing and technical teams as well as agency side, creative, designers and developers and e.t.c.

 

Essential experience

In addition to deep experience in digital and social media, you will have an excellent track record of building and sustaining strong client relationships and managing a range of digital media projects to a successful conclusion for both client and agency. 

 

Essential skills and aptitudes include:

  • Fluent English skills – reading, writing and speaking, Cantonese and Mandarin is preferable but not required
  • Superior organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Good understanding of social media and basic digital development process including communication of strategy, creative and technical
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation/communication skills with the ability to communicate a concept or idea
  • A team player with the ability to work under own initiative
  • Able to work quickly and accurately
  • Flexible, adaptable and diplomatic
