The Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) is a statutory body responsible for quality assurance of academic and vocational qualifications to underpin the Qualifications Framework (QF).  HKCAAVQ offers a professional career in quality assurance, excellent exposure to local and international education, and challenging development opportunities to outstanding candidates.  To meet the expansion in service demand, applications are invited for the following position:

Responsibilities

The appointee will support ongoing systems maintenance and administration, including MS Windows Servers, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Cisco Firewall, Barracuda Anti Spam Firewall, PCs and other network equipment; identify and prevent potential issues proactively; assist with application server installation, configuration, enhancement and development; assist with system security and data integrity, including back up, disaster recovery planning and execution; participate in software/product evaluation, performance monitoring and diagnoses; prepare reports, technical documents, implementation proposals and user manuals; provide helpdesk, technical support, and training to end users.

Requirements
Applicants should possess a first degree comparable to HKQF Level 5 in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, and at least 5 years of hands-on experience and proficient knowledge in Windows server 2003/2008/2012, Exchange server 2003/2013, Microsoft SQL server, Oracle Database server, Windows XP/7/8, Office 2003/2007/2010/2013, Barracuda Anti Spam Firewall and Cisco Firewall/switch, preferably with hands-on experience in end user support.  Relevant professional qualifications in MCSE, CCNP, OCA would be an advantage.  We are looking for a meticulous, responsible and self-motivated individual who has strong troubleshooting, problem solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; good written and spoken English and Chinese; readiness to work outside normal office hours if required for urgent issues.  Being an effective team player as well as able to work independently is essential.  Experience in programming and web-based application systems would be a definite asset.
