Responsibilities: 
 

• Maintain close partnership with business management to ensure good understanding and comprehension of their business strategies, plans, products, control mechanisms and risk-related issues
• Conduct functional risk and control assessment for risk-based annual audit planning. Assist Senior Audit Managers in audit planning to ensure adequate and effective audit scope / coverage
• Conduct audits on business operations, risk management functions, corporate governance and regulatory compliance across the Bank
• Identify and evaluate key risk and control issues with root causes and provide value-added recommendations for improvement
• Compile audit issues and audit reports to highlight major control issues and risk implications. Conduct ad hoc reviews and special investigations as required
• Follow up outstanding and overdue audit issues until full resolution
• Provide risk management advisory services to business and operation management on new major products / services / special projects

Requirements: 
 

• Degree holder in Accountancy, Business Administration or related disciplines. Professional designation of CPA, CIA, CFA and/ or CISA
• At least 10 years solid auditing experience in banking / financial services industry. Well versed in HKMA supervisory control requirements and regulatory codes, rules and requirements. Strong product knowledge in the banking industry with good business sense
• Diversified experience in Information Technology audits is an added advantage
• Able to work independently and deal with different levels of management
• Able to supervise and coach small audit teams. Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining effective working relationship with stakeholders and colleagues
• Ability to think objectively and exercise good judgment when analyzing risk and control issues and recommending solutions
• Good written and oral communication skills in English
