Job Description

As a Culture Ambassador you create a branded experience at Herman Miller touch points by disseminating your expert product knowledge to interested consumers that leads to sales. Herman Miller Culture ambassador will overlook the retail experience in three physical locations in Hong Kong

Organization

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, APAC, the candidate will be part of the regional marketing group and lead Herman Miller’s retail initiatives in Hong Kong.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Solidify the consumer relationship and take initiative to go the extra mile to exceed the customers' expectations.
  • Impact sales by educating consumers on product features and benefits.
  • Actively create and curate experiences by ensuring artful display of products within stores to ad storytelling
  • Work with global leads in Consumer business to ensure a consistent experience
  • Create and implement the visual merchandising guideline for APAC consumer business models.

Scopes:

  • Champion / Storyteller for the Herman Miller Collection and High performance task seating - Communicate with great depth and savoir faire the design story behind our products to clients and engaging actively in the heritage and journey behind each great design.
  • Relationship building: Must have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with management teams, retail sales associates and customers.
    • Networking in PMQ- Relationship development with other tenants
  • Merchandising: Ensure products are on display, functioning properly and presentable to customers. Take direction regarding tagging, rotating, and placing POS materials.
  • Sales aptitude to enthusiastically engage, qualify and close customers on sales of clients products; Seek sales opportunities in departments throughout the store to maximize sales and sales of related attachments.
  • Reporting: Must complete accurate and timely paperwork and reports online; strong computer skills to prepare promotional results reports
  • Social Media Savvy - Aptitude for technology, for socializing the activities of clients in various location and driving traffic to the store by using social media. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education - University degree or equivalent work experience. Discipline in retail/ design/ architecture/ interiors/brand management/marketing preferred.
  • Strong spoken English
  • Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills required.
  • Experience in customer service, marketing or business an asset.
