    Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree Programme and Undergraduate Honours Degree Programmes at both the HKBU Kowloon Tong and Shatin Shek Mun campuses. The CIE, managed by the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the seven Faculties/Schools of HKBU, currently enrolls almost 5,000 students, and is committed to sustaining the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. English is used as the medium of instruction at the College. Applications are now invited for the following position:

    The appointee will supervise a small team of designer and IT Officers to work on web application projects and coordinate mobile application development projects. Duties include but not limited to i) working closely with academics and public relations teams on project requirements/change requests and timelines, and conducting project risk analysis; ii) recommending suitable web/mobile application development strategies, policies and procedures; iii) performing application design, development, testing, documentation, implementation and maintenance; iv) prioritizing resources among multiple concurrent projects; v) measuring and monitoring progress at important milestones to ensure timely delivery of projects.

    Applicants should possess a university degree in Computer Science / IT / Creative Media or related disciplines. They should possess at least five years of experience in web application development, out of which three years in project management. Knowledge of Web Programming in HTML, HTML5 and CSS, and solid experience in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and jQuery are essential. They should possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills, proven multi-tasking skills, good interpersonal and communication skills, and a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. They should also be flexible, adaptable and able to meet critical deadlines. Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Senior Project Officer (Web / Multimedia).

    Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a skill/written test. The appointee will be required to serve at either/both the Kowloon Tong and Shatin Shek Mun campuses.

    Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
