Role Summary:

The Systems Analyst should independently maintain systems and applications under his / her charge. He / She must be able to provide detailed analysis and design for systems / applications and successfully deliver systems / applications as part of the project delivery life cycle. Duties include trouble-shooting system problems, finding root causes and provide both short-term and long-term solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Study, analyze and translate business requirements into various documents required in the project delivery life cycle
• Code and test programs to agreed standards and conduct quality assurance on programs
• Support the prioritization and reporting of work requests
• Monitor and ensure that development progress is on schedule
• Provide user and IT operations support during and post implementation
• Trouble-shoot problems and provide effective solutions
• Support incident and problem management and reporting
  
  

Qualification / Experience / Skills:

• University graduate in a related discipline
• At least five years of IT experience with around two years in a system analysis role
• Strong skills in the analysis, development, support and testing of applications
• Fluent in spoken and written Cantonese and English
• Working experience in the life insurance industry a must
• Experience in LIFE/400 highly desirable
• Experience in web and mobile technologies an advantage
• Experience in working in a cross-country, in-sourced IT environment a plus
