Job Description:

The eCommerce Merchandising Specialist will play a key role in operating eBay’s Cross Border Trade Consumer online shopping experience. Reporting to the Strategic Marketing & Merchandising APAC, Senior Manager, the person in this role will drive Greater China Merchants inventory and actively promote Greater China inventory to eBay main four sites, collaborating each site inventory demand through online analytics, improving product discovery, upgrade Greater China Merchants listing requirements. This person will focus on continuous optimization on subsidy, actively understanding each site demand building relationship with respective operation personnel as well as motivating Greater China Merchants to upgrade and expand their inventory in order to have good buying experience.

eCommerce Merchandising Specialist, eBay Hong Kong (Contract Position)

Responsibilities:

• Execute the tailored merchandising strategy plan with eBay sites and best matching with Greater China Merchandising (Hong Kong region) to each site inventory demand
• Work with each eBay local sites for Greater China Merchandising for weekly Flash Deals submission
• Maintain weekly submissions/revisions for each program
• Maintain good relationship with Greater China Merchants (Hong Kong) by seller visits and regular calls
• Conduct Deals orientation for new merchants
• Monitor overall listing quality to match with local site buying experience which will drive further velocity sell rate
• Ensure listings placement are ready for launch/monitor performance on the designated sites
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of Online Merchandising/eCommerce experience
• 4+ years of experience utilizing online analytics to optimize sales and customer experience
• Knowledge in online eCommerce trading platform, especially eBay, is an advantage
• Acute sense of market and online trends and customer needs with strong analytical mind
• Self-motivated, result-oriented and able to work under pressure
• Outstanding communication skills, strategic thinking and attention to details
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Fluent in Mandarin is preferable
