Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Sourcing and Supply Chain teams within product area to create strategic supplier relationships to support the delivery of volume growth. Play a key part in identifying and on boarding new suppliers.
• Maintain effective working relationships with related internal stakeholders and actively contribute to ensure that the triangular teams between sourcing, quality and supply chain execute according to expectation.
• Monitor, report and manage supply service levels of Pets at Home Asia vendors within product area, including first time audit pass rate, first time sealing rates and final inspection results.
• Liaise with the UK Quality team to ensure all data around customer returns is passed back to the vendors within product area, and action plans put in place to eradicate future issues.
• Provide main point of contact for UK quality teams in relevant product areas.
• Ensure involvement in product quotations prior to sending back to the UK so as to ensure all quality costs are incorporated into the overall cost price.
• Management of CPA’s with other functions within Pets at Home Asia (sourcing and supply chain), through weekly meetings and VC ’s with the UK teams.
• Ensure all products within business area are signed off and approved through the sealing process outlined by the business.
• Ensure gold seals are in place in the UK, Pets at Home Asia and at the vendors factory to ensure all quality control inspections can be carried out on time and accurately.
• Ensure batch coding is inherent within global sourcing to allow for full traceability on products.
• Ensure all factory audits, and re-audits, are scheduled and take place on time. Where corrective action plans are needed ensure these are monitored and tracked to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Ensure all globally sourced products within business area have product specifications and all testing certificates/information are saved onto the company website.
• Ensure all factories are making quality control bookings within the required dates.
• Carry out testing on products as required either internally or with approved external bodies.

Requirements:

• The successful candidate must have experience of working within quality management, either at a sourcing/buying office, manufacturer or a 3rd party provider.
• It is essential that you are educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in engineering.
• You will be both commercially and culturally aware, with the ability to interact with both customers and vendors.
• Having knowledge of the manufacturing process, product development and retailing would be a distinct advantage.
• You will have a proven system track record in following quality policies, processes and systems as well as vendor management experience with a proven track record in implementing vendor improvement plans.
• Previous people management experience is preferable but this is not essential, however the ability to manage people is necessary.
• You will be a very strong communicator which will enable you to communicate effectively both internally and externally.
• You will be PC literate.
• It is essential that you are fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
• Your high attention to detail will be fully utilised, as will your ability to persuade.
• You will be working alongside other key functions which form our Sourcing Office and therefore it is really important that you have a good understanding of all the other functions and can work cross-functionally.
• Immediate available is highly preferred.
