A leading private equity firm seeks a junior lawyer/ compliance professional to join its Hong Kong office.

About the role

The successful candidate will work with the Legal & Compliance team on compliance, regulatory and licensing projects around the Asia Pacific region, reporting to the Asia General Counsel and Asia Head of Compliance.

About the person

The ideal candidate:

• 2-5 PQE level lawyer (US, UK, HK qualified) or compliance professional with relevant regulatory and compliance experience.
• Knowledge of securities laws (particularly SFC and/or MAS rules and regulations for regulated activities), investment products and services advantageous.
• Highly articulate with excellent written and spoken English.
• Mandarin language skills preferred.
• Have an outstanding academic record.
• Well-organised, self-motivated, independent, analytical and with good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in computer skills such as MS office Excel.
