Reporting to the Director of Product Integrity - Global Sourcing, the focus of this role is to act as a regional technical resource in providing professional technical services to meet the Brand's needs & requirements and in alignment with the overall sourcing strategies. You are required to enhance the capabilities of Quality & merchandising department thru quarterly training, as well as identify the skill set level of each merchandiser and provide re-training as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate & follow up with the Brand's Quality Manager &/or concern parties if necessary in terms of REACH & CPSIA, California Proposition 65 regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessment periodically and identify the gaps on quality control process of apparel, home textiles, footwear accessories and trims for re-training and improvement
• Have a clear understanding of each brand/buyer's requirements, use overall product knowledge to provide recommendation of efficient testing protocol
• Review current testing and incorporate additional testing if needed
• Provide technical support to merchandising and quality team to ensure brand's quality requirements are met
• Liaison with 3rd party testing service laboratories to ensure that the testing protocol are followed thru as per brand's requirements
• Maintain testing information integrity and address testing data trends

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Textile Chemistry
• Minimum 6 years of working experience in Apparel / Home Textile industry focused on product testing & product safety
• At least 4 years lab testing experience and good understanding of REACH for EU and restricted substance regulations for US
• Familiar with MS Office applications
• Effective and strong verbal and written technical communication skills required
