Job Description
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for providing accurate forecasts, handle purchase order and import of goods to warehouse for order-to-delivery process.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Apply and maintain a replenishment system to facilitate the information exchange and purchase order placement between suppliers
- Apply and maintain a demand forecasting tool so that quality forecasts are generated
- Place purchase orders to brand owners to replenish stock in buffer warehouse
- Coordinate with warehouse and transport companies to ensure smooth receipt import cargoes
- Prepare monthly reports, review and interpret data as appropriate
- Report to Logistics Manager on slow-moving, obsolete stock and stock problems
- Assist in warehousing management, coordinate stocktaking, etc. when needed
- Ad hoc projects or assignments as required
- Support in customer services to fulfill customer orders to meet the delivery schedule and minimize storage and transportation costs
- Handle full set of shipping/banking and customs documents: insurance, declaration, removal permit, operation in bond and the like
- Coordinate with warehouse and transport companies to ensure smooth receipt import cargoes, export shipments and local deliveries
- Provide customer care & support for customers, i.e. any issues and/or complaints customer may have on the orders, cascade the same to supervisor for handling
Core Skills and Experiences:
- Degree holder in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or related discipline
- 3+ years relevant experience in logistics management especially in supply planning and inventory management
- Good general business sense, strong in statistics
- Knowledge of JDE an advantage
- Working knowledge of full set I/E documentation
- Good understanding of warehousing, import/export procedures and distribution processes
- Good spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese
- Good interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
