    Vacancy Requirements

    Independently leads planning, implementation and evaluation of Hong Kong and regional events as assigned, including annual events and newly initiated events.

     

    Essential Experience and Background

    • Bachelor Degree.
    • 8+ years of work experience, with no less than 5 years of events management and execution experience in luxury or financial services industry, preferably private banking/wealth management, and understanding of key areas of event management (project coordination, on site management, technical expertise, etc)
    • Ideal candidates are those with multinational/regional Event Company or financial institution event team background.
    • Strong leadership, positive attitude, multitasking, problem anticipation/solving, communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Must be open and flexible to a constant changing environment.
    • Asia regional portfolio management experience and good understanding of luxury/private banking business will be strong advantages. 
    • Good team player, motivator, committed to highest quality standards
    • Interest in the general event landscape.
    • Excellent command of English essential. Cantonese and / or Mandarin speaking/ reading / writing abilities would be ideal.
    • Software skills of Microsoft Power Point, Excel, and Word.
    • Flexibility to travel.
    • Comfortable working with little supervision; self-starter.
    • Key annual major client events include top client events during auctions and exhibitions, Art Forums / panel discussions, Art Fair programs, wine tasting events and pairing dinners, charity auctions, preview roadshows, strategic partners events and sponsorships.    

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Identify, negotiate and manage significant strategic partnerships, alliances, and relationships that support the organization’s current and emerging directions.
    • Spot, leverage and follow up on new event opportunities.
    • Manage an event from engagement to fulfillment, within a limited time and within budget.
    • Establish and manage budgets and track spending for regional events, providing analysis and review.
    • Communicate regularly with all team members and accountable to build working relationships with the Reporting manager and marketing team.
    • Producing detailed proposals for events.
    • Handle key negotiations, liaise with external vendors/partners and internal counterparts/partners/management.
    • Venue identification and management, menu development, program development, management of design & production of event materials/gifts, and supervision of event enrollments.
    • Post event attendance, expense, feedback/learning summaries, and enhancements proposal for future events.
