Responsibilities:

• Report market intelligence to the buyer and Line Managers;
• To provide quality service to customer and suppliers on sourcing, ordering, shipment and new product development processes;
• Work closely with Country Buyer Team by delivering the appropriate product to their market at the best price and right timeframe;
• Develop products with Sourcing Manager and buyers - both reactive and pro-active approach;
• Participate in price negotiation and landed cost computation;
• Monitor the development schedules from artworks, sampling, translation and approval to shipment;
• Monitor testing of product to meet Tesco requirements;
• Negotiate payment terms, handle purchasing order raising and critical path management;
• Provide periodical reports to customers on new product development, order and shipment status;
• Coordinate with vendors and buyers for the buying trip appointments.

Requirements :

• University graduate with 3 - 5 years merchandising experience in related categories in sourcing and buying environment, experience in manufacturing environment would be an added value;
• Sound product knowledge in Papershop, Seasonal, Stationery, Celebration & Parties;
• Familiar with UK/ EU Market;
• Proven experience to be able to work with overseas buyers independently;
• Assertive, self-motivated & excellent organizational skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skill and negotiation skills as well as capability to interact effectively with all levels;
• Willing to travel;
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese & Mandarin;
• Computer literate. Proficient in MS Office;
• Able to handle multi-tasks and possess a high level of initiative and integrity.
