Key Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of costing staff to finalize product costs in a timely manner and support preliminary cost estimation /valuation;
• Update the management of the latest cost development and identify cost improvement opportunities;
• Participate in the development and maintenance of cost databases of key market factors to support cost analysis and negotiation; and
• Support senior leadership in the global sourcing initiatives.

Requirements

• University graduate in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Engineering or equivalent;
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant working experience in costing area or toys industry with at least 3 years at managerial level;
• Knowledge and experience in continuous improvement approaches (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing) and manufacturing processes is a definite advantage
• Good knowledge on costs of various commodities such as resin, fabric, and electronic components, etc.;
• Innovative leader with business acumen, willing to make decision, and cope with multi-tasking;
• Able to co-ordinate various stakeholders to achieve targets;
• Good negotiation and interpersonal skills, and communication skills in both written and spoken English, Cantonese/Chinese and Putonghua;
• High competency in using PC applications (MS Excel, PPT,CAD, and Pro-E);
• Willing to travel and stay in China or overseas, when necessary.
