ACADEMY OF VISUAL ARTS

The Academy of Visual Arts is looking for an energetic and self-driven candidate to join the Academy to assist in planning and implementing an array of PR activities and outreach programmes. The appointee will work on media relations, publications and event management, as well as community arts programmes for the Academy. Major duties include:

 i)  managing communication and PR, including preparing promotion materials such as copywriting and production of print materials, development of web stories, liaison with press and media, maintaining website and other online communication platforms etc.;

ii)  organising events and art projects, such as exhibitions, conferences, workshops and seminars, fundraising and anniversary events;

iii)  providing administrative and secretarial support to committees, and report writing; and

iv)  managing exhibition facilities.

Applicants should possess a good university degree, preferably in visual arts, art administration, cultural studies or other related fields, with at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience and a good background in the arts and cultural sector. They should have an excellent command of written English and Chinese, and a comprehensive knowledge of the art and culture development in Hong Kong. Knowledge in design software, webpage development and event management, as well as good interpersonal skills and mature personality are definite advantages. The appointee will be required to serve at both Kowloon Tong and Kai Tak campuses. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
