AP Photonics Limited (APP) is a world leader in the design, development and production of innovative optical and opto-mechanical products. We are expanding our R&D team in Hong Kong Science Park and our manufacturing section producing innovative components used in consumer electronics in Shenzhen. We invite capable and professional individuals to apply for the position of an Automation Engineer.

Key job duties

Ÿ    To carry out PLC programming and electrical design for automation

Ÿ    To provide onsite installation and post-installation support in production lines in Shenzhen

Ÿ    To prepare technical documentation, such as schematic diagrams, BOMs and manuals

Ÿ    To co-work with mechanical engineers, firmware engineers and technicians

Ÿ    Mostly stationing in Hong Kong and requiring some travelling to Shenzhen

Essential Qualifications:

Ÿ    At least 3 years of experience in developing automatic production, assembly machines and/or testers

Ÿ    High Diploma or above in Automation Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or relevant disciplines

Ÿ    Extensive experience in PLC programming

Ÿ    Hands-on experience in building electro-mechanical equipment

Ÿ    Familiar with using servomotors, stepper motors and/or pneumatic actuators

Ÿ    Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) and English

Preferred Qualifications:

Ÿ    Master/PhD Degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or relevant disciplines

Ÿ    Experience in Omron PLC & HMI

Ÿ    Basic experience in CAD software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks

Ÿ    Willing to work in Shenzhen occasionally

Ÿ    Immediate available is preferred
