Responsibilities:

• Deliver ranges of graphics and prints of textiles for different categories;
• Closely work with UK design team and Commercial Team to develop graphic designs within product areas: home, celebrations, paper product, cook & dine, clothing, textile;
• Use trend information in product development;
• Research and communicate new designs, new product, regional market trends and styles to Country Buying Teams, suppliers and hubs;
• Support suppliers and commercial team in executing the right product at the right cost on time;
• Engage suppliers to enhance their development capability and capacity in the region to Tesco standards;
• Review business opportunities with the Country Buying Teams to develop new product ranges and follow developments until signed off;
• Increase efficiency and effectiveness of the direct sourcing process, by pre selecting the product and work with merchandising team to engineer product price.

Requirements:

• Graduate in Design or design institutes;
• 3 years in product design experiences;
• Good at design skills, senses with knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator;
• Prior exposure of staying with UK / International product design is essential;
• Experience of working in direct sourcing for a retailer is preferable;
• Prior experience of working with the product is essential, good knowledge of printed textile production;
• Fluent spoken and written English is essential. Proficiency in Mandarin is desirable.
