    Job Description

     

    Primary Purpose: Murex BA -Trading Floor/Front Office Support at client site, to support the trading desk users on all Murex support activities -  resolve Murex issues, configuration, support of Murex(FO) configurations and system.

     

    Key Accountabilities/Activities:

    • To act as Client’s point of contact for any issues related to FO module of Murex implementation. These issues may range from technical problems, system usage questions, reporting, interfaces, P&L related investigations, payment and settlement related issues and configuration changes etc.
    • Analyze, design and configure, Front office functionalities within Murex System, including setting up of deals, portfolio, P&L, cash flows, market operations, pricing, simulation, market data, trading and hedging processes
    • MO-Configuration of MLC, VAR Module, Greeks….
    • Support configuration of rate feeds from Market data providing systems like Bloomberg, Reuters etc
    • Understand the Front office business processes and layout the efficient automation process to be implemented in the Murex system
    • Support the configuration of lifecycle management of various financial products and static dimensions in the system
    • Setting up of various instruments in the Murex system, along with the setting up of the relevant market data, pricing engines etc.
    • Configuration of deal processes including different types of deal authorization workflows
    • Setting up and support the understanding of various limit structures as per the requirements of the banks.
    • Monitor deadlines and priorities, clarity and precision of documentation, and quality and rigorousness of testing
    • Diagnose technical and functional situations for the client by closely analyzing the situation, establishing links with the Murex platform, and acting accordingly 
    • Carry out the Analysis of the issues raised by the client, classify them appropriately as bug/ enhancement, suggest appropriate resolution action and ensure delivery of the same.
    • Ensure timely and accurate resolution of client concerns
    • Write and distribute technical and functional documents
    • Take the knowledge transfer from the existing support team or the Murex implementation team as the case may be such that the support system transition is transparent to the user
    • Assist and train the customers on the usage of various system functionalities including support to business and IT users on respective roles.

     

    Work Relations:

    •          Interfacing with Client Point of contact for identification, Analysis and resolution of client issues
    •          Interacting with client users to gather business requirements for identified enhancements or amendments
    •          Interacting with client relationship manager to ensure timely resolution of issues or quality delivery of the requisite functionality
    •          Interact with business users to impart training on various functionalities of Murex system and financial products

     

    Qualification:

    •          Bachelors or Masters Degree

     

    Functional Skills:

     

    •          4+ years of experience in FO modules on Murex (Mx3.1/MX2..) platform
    •          Experience in supporting the front offices of financial institutions will be preferred
    •          Have good understanding of various financial products especially – FX, Money Markets, Commodities, Precious Metals, OTC Derivatives etc, in relation to:

    o    Parameters for these products,

    o    Understanding of applicability of various valuation and pricing approaches for these instruments

    o    Understanding of underlying risk factors for these products

    o    Understanding of trade, payment, settlement and accounting lifecycle of these instruments

    o    Understanding of documentation related to various financial products

    o    Understanding of how to setup these instruments in Murex System

    •          Have Good Understanding of Credit Risk and Market Risk

    •          Very strong verbal as well as written communication skills.
    •          Effective people skills as well as networking skills. Very good at stakeholder management
    •          Effective time management skills.
    •          A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work
    •          Effective listening capabilities and ability to work in multi-culture environment

     

    Experience: 

     

    •          5-8 years of experience in working with front office environment supporting various applications as business Analysts/ Support Analysts
    •          3-4 years of experience in working on Murex platform preferably 3.1 platform.
