Role Summary:

Reporting to Finance Direcor, this role is to lead corporate team to oversee group functions in corporate finance and accounts to ensure they are all operated in an effective and efficient way.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of accounting staff to maintain and ensure integrity of all accounting data to provide timely and effective financial and management reporting.
• Direct all aspects of HK and group financial management including accounting, auditing, cost control, budgeting, statutory reporting, consolidation issues, tax and insurance planning.
• Prepare HK and group budget and forecast including monitoring performance versus plan on a monthly basis.
• Establish and ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and internal control mechanisms in order to support smooth running of the business and safeguarding of company’s assets.
• Establish and nourish solid banking relationships.  Negotiate credit facilities as necessary.
• Assist Finance Director in taxation matters concerning on-going and new business developments and cross border transactions.
• Assist in ad-hoc studies and present findings and recommendations in sufficient detail to support senior management in decision making.
• Maintain and provide guidance for sound accounting practices for business operation covering retail operations in multiple countries including adherence to GAAP and local statutory requirements.
• Liaison with the local finance team of operating companies of the Group to ensure timely reporting and adherence to Group financial policies and guidelines.
• Manage and coach the team members.

 Requirements:

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience gained from preferably in fast moving retail companies. Candidates with fashion retail experience is highly preferably
• Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
• Qualified Accountant with HKICPA or ACCA certification
• Familiar with the accounting standards and taxation practices in Hong Kong, China and Asian Countries
• Knowledge of computerized Point of Sales and financial management systems
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with good business acumen
• Self-motivated, detail oriented, able to work under pressure and to drive changes
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese including Mandarin and Cantonese
• Shipping operations, IT management and Big-4 experience will be an advantage
