This incumbent will partner with Product and Tool Engineering Team to manage Hasbro’s product modular design platform from part design, tooling debug through production. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and implement Mechanical Design Standardization and Modularization;

• Develop and optimize mechanical design for performance, cost effectiveness and manufacturing efficiency;

• Maintain Mechanical Design Library and CAD Database, as controlled documentation;

• Cooperate with Product Engineering for tool build of standard components, and product qualification;

• Ensure interchangeability of standard components, and product compatibility of the same platform;

• Liaise with Global Development Team to formulate the plan of standard designs, follow through for the tooling budget approval;

• Lead CAE projects for design simulation and analysis.    

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;

• Minimum 7 years’ working experiences as an engineer within toy products manufacturing or related field;

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects, partners and priorities independently;

• In-depth knowledge of plastic mechanical and mechanism design;

• Proficient in use of CAD/CAE;

• Well versed in plastic tooling and molding;

• Experience in maintaining design database & running controlled documentation processes;

• Excellent communication skills;

• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;

• Experience with toy or juvenile safety standards a plus.
