The Role: MIM Asia is seeking an Investment Analyst in our Hong Kong office. MIM Asia is authorized and regulated by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission to provide investment research, non-discretionary investment consulting services, and discretionary investment management services to financial institutions. The candidate will work with the investment management team and assist with various projects from performance reporting, fund analysis, asset allocation, and portfolio construction etc.

Responsibilities
+  Obtain and analyze data to determine client solutions including, but not limited to, portfolio construction, determining model portfolios, performing manager/fund selection, performing due diligence (both quantitative and qualitative), and recommending solutions and/or changes to client products, services, and deliverables.

+ Prepare reports and articulate end deliverables and solutions to peers.

+ Demonstrate interest in learning about theoretical and practical implications of the investment advisory process and client needs.

+ Support and partner with Senior Consultants and Consultants in client work relating to portfolio construction, manager selection, due diligence, and other client-related needs.

Requirements
+ 1-3 years of investment experience with emphasis on mutual fund research / analysis, asset allocation, and portfolio management.

+ Some knowledge of the fund management industry in Hong Kong/Singapore/Taiwan.

+ A BS degree in Finance or related field. Working towards MBA and/or CFA designation will be a plus.

+ Good quantitative skills.

+ Excellent writing and communication skills in English.

+ Good time management skills and problem solving skills.
