Job Description

The appointee will be required to

(a) supervise and monitor the daily facilities management, repair and maintenance services as provided by different service providers so as to ensure that all facilities are functioning at the best possible performance at all times;
(b) coordinate and liaise with the various stakeholders, end users and the various service providers on the planning of repair and maintenance as well as renovation works;
(c) review and follow up all contracts, service agreements and certificates renewal to ensure compliance with the legislation and the University’s requirements;
(d) ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of preventive maintenance and repair works;
(e) establish policies for inspection, maintenance and repair of facilities;
(f) decide specifications, and make requests for purchase of supplies;
(g) handle inspections conducted from time to time by relevant authorities on Fire Services, Environment Protection, etc.; and
(h) take up any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Requirements:

(i) Degree holder or above in Facilities Management or other equivalent professional qualification;
(ii) at least 5 years’ relevant post-graduate experience with previous management experience in other institutions, NGOs or properties that carry similar scale and variety of facilities;
(iii) able to make decisions independently based on facilities management experience and sound knowledge on building technology;
(iv) strong interpersonal communication skill and decision making skill;
(v) experience in leading a team of frontline staff with knowledge on Employment Ordinance, and human resources issue handling are preferable;
(vi) proficient in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and
(vii) good command of spoken and written Chinese and English.

 

Salary and Fringe Benefits

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, and mandatory provident fund.
