Department:  Premier Sound Group  

Reporting to: Vice President, Sales  

Location:       China 

The Senior Transducer Engineer; Customer Support will provide a high level of organizational support in order to accomplish the corporate revenue and profitability goals. The Senior Transducer Engineer; Customer Support is responsible for leading the development of all transducer programs as identified by the Vice President of Sales.

Reporting Relationships:

The Senior Transducer Engineer reports directly to the Vice President of Sales 

Contacts:

• Internal contacts: Senior and middle level project managers, engineering personnel of all other departments, product development support teams, and operators. 
  
  
• External Contacts: Management and Engineering Personnel of other Eastech Group sites, Customer managers, engineers and quality personnel, and Component Suppliers.
  
  

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and design of new transducer platforms
• Collaborate internal and external suppliers, vendors and partners (e.g. Scan-Speak) of the company
• Lead the activities and objectives of the personnel of the factory System, Transducer Design Team and Production Test teams.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers
• Drive towards best practices and continuous improvement of the company
• Manage and provide support to the ongoing development of transducer products for mass production and provide technical leadership
• Highly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Updating departmental procedures and providing advice, reports, and presentations for senior management

• PSG metrics as agreed with the Vice President of Sales
• Internal department feedback
• Customer feedback 
  
  

Qualifications 

• A minimum of a university degree in a technical subject (Acoustics, Electronics, Mechanics, Manufacturing or related subjects); or equivalent experience.
• Thorough knowledge of audio and acoustic parameters, particularly transducers
• Superior knowledge of transducer R&D and product systems tools including Klippel, Soundcheck, MLSSA, FEA, FMEA and TS16949 requirements
• Experience in noise and vibration measurement equipment
• Computer programming and/or CAD skills
• Experience in a similar role / position
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products
• Technical understanding of systems engineering
