Reporting to the Senior Charge Engineer, the job holder will work at the Operations Section of the Operations Department, Generation Division responsible for assisting in operating the power plants and related job duties. The main responsibilities include the following:

Responsibilities:

• To assist in the operations of local plant / equipment of an electricity generating unit or non-unit station auxiliaries equipment
• To ensure all operating requirements / parameters are controlled within limits during all phases of operation
• To perform shift work

Requirements:

• Ordinary Certificate / Diploma in an engineering field or equivalent with 3 years experience in relevant engineering fields OR
• Higher Certificate / Diploma in an engineering field or equivalent with 2 years experience in relevant engineering field
• Be responsible and sensible to power plant operations
• General command of both written and spoken English and Chinese

Candidates with lower qualification but with relevant operational experience with modern coal-fired, gas-fired or oil-fired electricity generating equipment or other steam-powered machineries will also be considered.
