Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, the job holder will work at the Mechanical Maintenance Section of the Maintenance Department, Generation Division in Lamma Power Station, responsible for assisting in carrying out maintenance work and related job duties. The main responsibilities include the following:

Responsibilities:

• To monitor Contractors in carrying out maintenance of and repairs to mechanical systems to ensure the workforce follows the maintenance and repair procedures
• To carry out planned maintenance programs and emergency defect repairs to ensure safe, efficient and effective maintenance of plant and equipment.
• To monitor and review plant maintenance records to identify any deviations from control norms for improvement
• To assist Engineers to manage contract work including preparation of technical specification and monitoring of work progress and quality to ensure that relevant work schedules are met
• To monitor the environmental, health and safety requirements in the course of maintenance and repairs to ensure that relevant procedures are followed and substandard parts are identified for improvement
• To assist Engineers in managing spare parts for the maintenance activities in their responsible area to achieve highest plant and equipment reliability with minimal downtime

Requirements:

• Certificate / Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in mechanical work in power industry
• Good Technical knowledge and conversant with safety procedures
• Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills
• Self-initiative and able to work independently and under pressure
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Willing to work outdoor and irregular hours
