Reporting to the System Operations Engineer, the job holder will work at the Operations Section of the System Control Department in Ap Lei Chau. The main responsibilities include the following:

Responsibilities:

• To Control and monitor the Company’s power system, and coordinate the work on the HV apparatus so as to maintain a safe, reliable and efficient operations of the system
• To make operational decision and take corrective measures related to power system operations
• To prepare contingency plans for emergency situation of the Company’s power system
• To carry out operations and planning related to HV equipment outages, commissioning and routines

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Electrical Engineering leading to Corporate Membership of HKIE or equivalent
• At least 8 years’ experience in operation, control, planning and/or other relevant areas in power industry
• Possession of good knowledge in power system operations and SCADA system
• Analytical thinking, meticulous and able to work under pressure
• Mature and pleasant personality, highly self-motivated, good communication skills, a good team player
• Willing to work according to a 24-hour shift roster or irregular hours

Candidates with less relevant experience / lower qualification will be considered for the post of System Control Engineer II or III.
