Travel Product Writers at Travelzoo are the ultimate deal experts. Our role involves wearing many hats; we are part consultant, analyst, researcher, journalist, writer and deal sleuth. We are deal obsessed. We work directly with travel companies to develop the best deals possible. We as well work directly with entertainment companies - from restaurants, shows, spas, activities - to develop the best deals possible. Then we look for every opportunity to put these deals in front of our 27 million global members base through our website, mobile apps and social media channels.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly and negotiate with travel companies - airlines, cruise agencies and vacation packagers -- to produce incredible deals that inspire
  
• Work directly and negotiate with lifestyle - restaurant, spa, activity, entertainment - advertisers to travel product writers incredible deals that inspire
• Relentless research in pursuit of the deal
• Thoroughly review and test deals before recommending for publication
• Write clear and concise copy in Chinese that explains why a deal is outstanding
  
• Work closely with fellow travel product writers to ensure Travelzoo gets the scoop
• Partner with sales staff to nurture advertiser relationships, but never sell out

Requirements:

• Graduates from B.A. /B.S. in Tourism, Hospitality, Journalism, Communications (or any other related field).
• Preferable to have the editorial experience in the travel/hospitality/publishing industry
• Online/digital experience
• Travel and/or lifestyle focused
• Quick learner
• Team player
• Passion, logic and determination in research and evaluation
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project-management, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Fearlessness when haggling for the best deal
• A love of travel and entertainment is a must!
