IT Support Engineer

EIRE Systems is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our team in Hong Kong. The role will be to support our clients, leading financial institutions and SME's, by providing end-to-end support services for IT in our client’s offices or remotely from EIRE Systems, and to assist with projects. This is a hands-on role where outstanding customer service is required.  This is a permanent, full-time position offering competitive salary & benefits that provides opportunities for career advancement.   

Key accountabilities

• Take full ownership of local IT support, acting as an extension of our clients’ IT department as part of the EIRE Support Team
• Provide technical support and training for all technology equipment (PC’s, Mac’s, Printers, Video Conference)
• Support environments running Windows 7/ 8, Office 2010/ 2013 and Citrix VDI
• Manage the inventory of hardware/software, systems life cycle and vendor contracts concerning end-user equipment
• Virtual Desktop / Desktop / Laptop builds, installations, security and hardware management
• Incident support and change management
• Mobility support (Blackberry, iPhone, tablets, Remote access)
• Provide technical consultation and implementation for IT infrastructure projects

 Your skills and experience

• 3-to-5 year’s experience in IT support.
• Undergraduate degree in Technology or related discipline.
• Experience with IT support in Banking/Finance industry is a plus.
• Administrator level understanding of Active Directory, Windows 7 and 8.  MCSE is a plus.
• Experience and knowledge in building and maintaining desktop and server hardware.
• Experience in supporting a virtual desktop environment is a plus.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Flexible and adaptable.  Able to re-prioritise and organise effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Organised with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
• Comfortable in raising issues and ensuring that corrective measures are taken in a timely manner.
• Interest in analysing and solving complex problems.
• Understanding of ITIL Foundation V3 is a plus.
• Apple Mac OS skills are a plus.
