Job Responsibilities:

• Ensuring high availability of order management /risk systems at both client and server level
• Monitoring the production environment as well as ensuring monitoring system is kept sanitized
• Handling and reporting daily global EOD batch status
• Pro-active monitoring of systems towards preventing system outages
• Assisting users to use their applications effectively and providing ad-hoc training
• Solving a variety of user problems relating to the application clients, servers, data, user administration, usage and functionality.
• Operate in a 'follow the sun model' to ensure issues are resolved globally.
• Incident/Problem management and their follow-ups
• Focus on capacity and stability management of the systems
• Ensure tasks/issues are documented and the same is reviewed periodically
• Working with counterparts globally and ensuring there is a common/collective approach to issues/problems.
• Working with IT/Business teams in different geographies and effectively communicating front office priorities
• Thorough investigation of production issues and their appropriate escalations

Job requirements:

• 3-5 years working experience in FO support
• Experience with using UNIX, Linux, Wintel, Perl/Shell scripting, Excel and VBA as well as ability to write SQL to extract and patch data in Sybase and Oracle databases
• Good prioritization skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• A fluent English speaker
• A Computer Science or MIS degree holder

• Experience in working with risk management systems

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Prior experience of working in a global team preferably in derivatives
• Pro-active approach to support and handling issues.
• Attitude to constantly improve the way we do work

• Prior experience on managing a monitoring system would be a plus
• A strong team player and able to work in a global organization
