Reporting to the Trade Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to assist the Trade Manager in overall pricing, commercial and cargo flow activities with optimal loadings to maximize revenue and profitability.

Responsibilities:

* Managing commercial targets on a day to day basis, granting freight rates to agents and customers protecting our pricing policy and ensuring that the ships are fully utilized;

* Active role in pricing management / space control / contribution analysis / vessel profile management and country to country market development;

* Closely following market rates and competition services;

* Discussing and negotiating with in-house suppliers (other departments, logistics team) to ensure smooth operations for our cargo;

* Managing customer relationship on a long term basis by means of customer visits, rate negotiation, service promotion, support for day to day issues;

* Prepare reports / market studies / competitor analysis and perform other tasks as required by Management;

* Maintain the Lara being updated for all matters (SQ, VIP List);

* Build Cargo flow reports and support cargo flow team on a daily basis;

* Any other ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

* Degree in shipping, logistics or related is preferably;

* 5 years' solid working experience preferably in pricing management or all related activities in regional / principal level in shipping industry; Knowing Oceania market is a plus

* Good business acumen, assertive and self-motivated;

* Able to handle multi-tasks, work independently and under pressure;

* Excellent communication skills with good command of spoken andwritten English.

* Good knowledge in Excel / Database management
