Job Description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Ensure harmonized projections are distributed among vendors in effective manner
  • Work with development team to improve timeliness and reliance of the information
  • Work with brands to make necessary adjustments based on runner rate to ensure that agreed allocation is on course
  • Analyze risks associated with orders/projections and work with vendors for smooth execution. Propose necessary order/projection movements across vendors/countries as necessary.
  • Ensure capacity is secured for sudden demand, unplanned promotions, etc before releasing excess capacity.
  • Ensure all order are met as per agreed time and actions schedule, buy buckets, etc. Propose necessary mill adjustments based on risk and performance.
  • Define more robust mechanisms to improve the efficiency of inquiry process. Report to management on inquiries that cannot be materialized
  • Ensure the commitment contracts are honored by mills as per agreed quantities.
  • Propose potential reductions in lead time by taking out white spaces
  • Continually explore the possibility of simplifying the calendar/buy buckets for better efficiency in the supply chain.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (e.g. Qualification, Job Experience):

 

  • With more than 8 years of working experience preferably in the garment industry on planning production loading capacity
  • Good communication skills with cross functional partners
  • Able to oversee the demand planning for across vendors in order to optimize the efficiency
  • A strong leader to inspire, mentor and develop the technical team
  • Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems which have impact to the business
  • Knowledge of applying Fast React in planning is highly preferable
