Partner State Key Laboratory (PSKL) on Advanced Displays and Optoelectronics Technologies

Executive Officer II (Job ID: 1628)

Reporting to the Director of PSKL, the appointee will be required to handle all the administrative work of the laboratory including monitoring budget and accounting; co-ordination and arrangement of seminars, webinars, promotional events and visits to the laboratory; liaison with companies and government officials of both Hong Kong and the Mainland; working with laboratory staff and students; and maintenance of PSKL’s website and databases; and to provide administrative support to a degree program jointly run by HKUST and a university in the Mainland.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in administrative positions, preferably in higher education. Fluency in Putonghua and spoken English; good communication skills and strong interpersonal and presentation skills are required. He/She should also be good at MS excel, word, powerpoint, and Chinese word-processing. Knowledge of website maintenance and photo editing is highly desirable. The appointee should be a team player and be able to work independently and under pressure. He/She will be required to travel and work for projects outside Hong Kong. A strong background in engineering is preferred. China experience is a plus. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
