Job Description:

Provide assistance in addressing legal issues for the business units covered by the Hong Kong Service Hub including Pernod Ricard Hong Kong, Pernod Ricard Asia Travel Retail, and certain aspects of Pernod Ricard Asia Headquarter and Pernod Ricard Taiwan as necessary:

• Act as a resource for the business units covered by the Hong Kong Service Hub such as regulatory affairs, marketing, HR, etc;
• Assist in drafting legal advice and contract template and, where needed, contacting and managing external law firms. Issues will include inter alia, checking compliance with local laws, review of contract templates, legal advice on ongoing negotiations, assessment of risks of legal prosecution for the business units, etc.;
• Assist in the different company secretary’s duties for the Hong Kong registered companies of the Pernod Ricard Group. Duties includes inter alia acting as adviser to the company directors, arranging dividend payments and observing all legal requirements, liaising with auditors, lawyers, ensuring compliance with the relevant laws and the requirements of regulatory authorities;
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Pernod Ricard Group legal guidelines and Code of conduct in the business units covered by the Hong Kong Service Hub;
• Provide legal advice to the management committees’ members of the business units covered by the Hong Kong Service Hub as required; and
• Assist in the monitoring of Hong Kong Service Hub legal budget.

Job Requirement:

• (As minimum) Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a top international university
• 1- 2 years of strong experience as in-house or in law firm
• Fluency in written and spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese, French is an asset
• Good technical drafting ability, accuracy and ability to communicate legal issues clearly to management of the BUs of the Hong Kong Service Hub
• Independent, well organized and good team player
• Qualified legal practitioner with excellent academic credentials
• Innovative approach to legal issues in support of strategic business initiatives and objectives
• Based in Hong Kong
• Available immediately
