Job Description

Major responsibilities are listed, but not limited to, as below:

We are looking for a Manager who can challenge, develop & improve our business system and process for global procurement.
We are NOT looking for a pure procurement or souring expert.

  • Lead the development and maintenance of a global RFQ system for IPD.
  • Gather input from product managers, entity pricing managers, sourcing engineers and others.
  • Standardize and share best practices of purchasing ordering processes, such as blanket orders, scheduled agreements, VMI, forecasting, KANBAN, consignment, etc.
  • Work with Logistic and Finance to develop/document guidelines for the optimal/preferred use of incoterms. Deploy to the entities within IPD and monitor for compliance.
  • Define, educate and drive for deployment of economic order quantity, demand pooling and price breaks.
  • Support deployment of automated procurement processes such as SupplierNet.
  • Represent procurement in company initiatives such as GS&OP and PLM/classification.
  • Review, define, document and deploy division sourcing and supplier selection processes.
  • Drive for global standardization of document requirement in new supplier registration, with minimal variation due to local requirement.
  • Define and fix Preferred Supplier criteria, deploy consistently across the division.
  • Review and standardize existing and new supplier contracts in the entities.
  • Support Molex’s TQM, Lean/Six Sigma program by following approved policies and procedures.  Promotes the implementation of “best practices” as it relates to supply chain management.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering from a top-tier University, MBA a PLUS
  • At least 10 years process improvement experiences gained from multi-nationals electronic company
  • Good knowledge in procurement system, process and measurement
  • Able to communicate effectively to all levels and regions
  • Strong attention to details, planning and organizational skills
  • Good PC skills, especially MS Excel
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Excellent English and Mandarin speaking, reading and writing skill
  • Extensive travel to PRC or the Asia Pacific region is needed
