Reporting to Deputy Vice President in Asia Regional Office and Tax Manager in headquarter for Asia agencies and transfer pricing.  The successful candidate will be the main point of contact of the group for all tax matters that pertain to international shipping matters for our French headquarter as well as our Asia-Pacific shipping agencies.

Responsibilities:

* To provide agencies with day-to-day tax assistance;

* To support Asia agencies while being audited;

* To propose secure and optimised tax solutions;

* To update internal clients on tax reforms;

* To deal with M&A at local level and liaise with local tax law firms;

* To develop and maintain a very strong relationship with head office Tax Department;

* Any other assignments as and when requested by the Tax Manager and Tax Department in Head Office.

Requirements:

* University graduate in Tax (LLM in Tax or equivalent), HKICPA or ACCA or relevant qualification is required;

* At least 8 years tax experience exposure in Tax Department of global group or law firm with prominent global players as clients; proven record of tax experience in Asia-Pacific.

* Strong analytical mind and highly self-motivated;

* Business orientated, remaining focused on providing sound tax advice;

* Strong Excel skill sets and knowledge of SAP will be an advantage;

* Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills in English spoken and written; good command of French is a plus;

* Initial 3-month integration periods followed by regular stays in our French headquarters are a prerequisite;

* Regular trips to Asia-Pacific countries must be anticipated
