Job Description

The Asia business has taken a new position with its approach to a more data-driven process, building audience profiles and analyzing trends and opportunities within the business. To assist with future strategic decisions and continuously improve our online development, optimization and digital focus, there is a need for greater assistance with the analysis of the data at our disposal.

Role

Reporting to the Group Head of Marketing & Product Management, the Marketing Analyst will give the business clear transparency into the performance of the marketing function and provide measurable ways to improve it. With an understanding of marketing, the successful candidate will have a specific focus on marketing analysis and audience profiling, definition and analysis. They must have a background in digital marketing and a desire to identify, develop, test and measure integrated digital platforms across a range of brand titles and different audiences.

Analysis

  • Setup and manage the analysis process following set business models and product goals.
  • Analyze, interpret, track, feedback and report on the performance of new website features across all brands
  • Develop and report on website user behavior across the full product portfolio. Develop data collection process and gather audience information that delves deeper than the standard vanity KPIs. Identify communication channel and digital reach opportunities.
  • Assist Develop backend tracking and data capture points across all product sites

Online, Digital

  • Provide analytic insight and feedback on Social Media Performance across the business
  • Test and Measure online developments, bringing new innovative ideas to the table on improving the user experience across the all products online channels and how we would test them
  • Use audience feedback to develop integrated digital communication channels specifically for each product and/or for Haymarket Asia

General Marketing Communication

  • Work with the Head of Marketing on analyzing EDM performance across the business and make recommendations on improving performance.
  • Support the marketing team on EDM layout briefs
  • Essential
  • Experience using web analytics tools such as GA, Nielsen, Omniture
  • Ability to delve deep into audience data and analyse, identifying trends and building an audience profile, identifying opportunities for online and digital communication.
  • Build testing and measurement approaches to new product/channel development
  • Ability to interpret and report information    
  • In possession of clear communication skills with an ability to articulate findings into coherent suggestions and report
  • Digital background with a solid understanding of the industry

  • Strong analytical thinking and reasoning skills
  • Ability to read between the lines
  • Good interpretation and presentation of data
  • Solid Microsoft Excel manipulation skills
  • Understanding of how people use the internet
  • Interest in finding out the meaning behind things
  • 3 - 5 years relevant working experience
