Purpose of job

Work as part of the operations team to support the trading function of the Caravel Resources unit of the Company.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Handle import and export bills and letters of credit

• Support contract administration process

• Process paperwork efficiently

• Manage electronic and paper filing

• Provide detailed and regular updates of shipments / deliveries to seniors and trader. Details to include: cargo status, inspection updates, vessel location and payment of each contract.

• Prepare reports related to outstanding payments / claims / bank costs etc.

Education / experience / technical skills required

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a trading house or bank

• Experience with Carbons or Iron Ore commodities preferred

• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to tight deadlines

• Good communication skills

• Good team spirit

• English and Cantonese language skills
