We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this dedicated team in the role of Software Engineering Manager.

Job brief

We are searching for outstanding Engineering Manager who will lead a team of software engineers and technicians to develop of banking functions in mobile application. The Manager will oversee software project engineering throughout lifecycle development (requirements, design, development, integrate, test and release software products).

In this role, you will:

• Lead and contribute to the development of HSBC Mobile applications
• Lead and prepare the design documents and do the presentation to the stakeholders according to the technical solution
• Plan engineering efforts and execute plans accordingly
• Run projects with contractors and manages as needed including contract oversight
• Develop internal operating procedures
• Manage the work and performance of the Software Engineering group
• Plans and carries out work assignments; resolves most conflicts which arise; coordinates work with others as necessary; interprets policy on own initiative in terms of established objectives.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related degree required; MBA preferred
• A minimum of thirteen(13+) years’ experience in software systems development
• Familiarity with communications systems and design
• Five (5+) years' experience managing an engineering team
• Previous experience in planning, implementing, and administering engineering programs and projects
• Practical experience in software systems design and integration
• Willing to travel

     Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be familiar to the Mobile industry and understand the mobile development
• Must be computer literate with Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Project
• Experience with several software development environments including Objective C, Java and Web
• Familiar with all aspects of software development life cycle:

-Project management methodologym, particularly UML, Iterative, Agile preferred

-Software/Computer languages – Java,JS, HTML5, Objective C etc

-System Integration & Test – problem solving and defect resolution

• Ability to communicate technical issues in an assertive and tactful manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Speak English fluently
