Our client is a market leader in its industry across the globe. Due to its continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a strong leader to drive its regional sourcing and procurement functions in Hong Kong.

Reporting to the Vice President, you will oversee sourcing, product development, procurement and quality management of a broad portfolio of design-based hardline merchandise. Leading a sizeable team, you will formulate and drive sourcing and procurement initiatives across Asia vendor network. You will develop procurement strategies for key product categories to achieve business objectives while maintaining a strategic business partnership with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors. You will review and optimize existing procurement processes to maximize lead-time, cost and quality efficiency. In addition, you will monitor vendor performance and ensure vendor compliance across all procurement activities.

Successful candidate will possess the following competencies and attributes:

• University Degree or equivalent in Merchandising, Procurement or any related discipline
• A minimum of 18-20years of experience in sourcing and product development of design-based hardline merchandise; preferably from global brand or sizeable sourcing office
• Proven record in change management and process optimization
  
• Resourceful, dynamic and with strong business acumen
• Ability to work effectively within diverse culture and highly matrix organization
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential
